I LOVE Wednesdays.  Wednesday nights I geek out on my paranormal crack:  Ghost Hunters.
I have been obsessed with ghosts since, at least as far as I can remember, the age of 2.
I have no recollection as to what sparked my interest, but since my childhood I have had many interesting
experiences involving many different aspects of the paranormal.  I even lived in a very active haunted house complete with disembodied voices, multiple interactions by multiple people (myself included) with a full bodied apparition and the usual "poltergeist"-esque activity (slamming doors and the like) when I was in my early 20's and living in San Marcos, Texas.  Once he and I established our personal boundaries (like no scaring the daylights out of me by banging about the house in the middle of the night, or the middle of the day for that matter!) he actually proved to be the best
and most respectful roommate I ever had...he never ate my food or drank my beer or Bushmills.

As Thomas Cromwell's increasingly ruthless reforms spread terror through an ever more vulnerable Catholic Church, Anne Boleyn has nightmares that her position at the King's side is under threat from the continued existence of former Queen Katherine and her daughter, Mary.  Meanwhile, Henry is occupied by sad news and a happy encounter.

Attempts to legitimize the King's marriage and increase his power encounter unmovable obstacles such as Sir Thomas More (Jeremy Northam) and Bishop Fisher who insist that only God can be head of the church.  Imprisoned in the Tower of London, they face likely execution unless they take the Oath of Allegiance. 

Meanwhile, Henry's wandering eye continues to roam.

uestions of faith dominate the court. As the infant Princess Elizabeth is baptized, the 'Act of Succession' is unveiled declaring that only children of Henry and Anne are legitimate successors to the English throne. A law is passed where every Royal subject must take an oath, on pain of death, recognizing the validity of the King's new marriage and the supremacy of Henry VIII in all matters.

Oh snap!

First, Henry won't allow Anne to breastfeed baby Lizzie. (Somebody call La Leche!)

I know I have been m.i.a. for the past week (or two...EEK!).  Sorry.  Things have been a bit scattered lately and look to be scattered for the weeks to come.  But at least my taxes are done and mailed...all sorted.  Phew!
